LPI® Coach Training

LPI® Coach Training offers an in-depth exploration of the LPI®: Leadership Practices Inventory®, the cornerstone of the powerful evidence-based leadership development program created by James M. Kouzes and Barry Z. Posner, authors of the best-selling book The Leadership Challenge®.

  • Upon completion, a successful participant will be referred to as a 'Trained LPI® Coach', and as a result, help others to fully understand their Leadership Practices Report (LPI) Report with a thorough debrief and subsequent coaching sessions.
  • This workshop will be facilitated by Debbie Nicol, a Certified LPI® Coach, Certified Master Trainer and a Global Training Partner ('business en motion').

In this 1-day workshop, participants will learn about the evidence behind and development of the instrument from Jim Kouzes and Barry Posner, become familiar with the intricacies of the LPI® reports, and understand how to effectively help leaders make sense of their feedback, in both a group setting and one-on-one coaching.

Upon completion of LPI®:Leadership Practices Inventory® Coach Training, participants will have:

  • Gained a deeper understanding of the different ways to leverage the LPI® reports to help leaders plan for their future development and affect positive change.
  • Increased their personal competency in the use and delivery of the LPI®.
  • Increased their knowledge and understanding of the statistical credibility of the instrument.
  • Explored and practiced the coaching skills required to optimize the use of the LPI® within a variety of leadership development situations.
  • Earn the credential, Trained LPI® Coach

who should attend

Leadership Development Professionals (Internal Training, HR, OD, or Talent Management), Management and Leadership Consultants, and Professors / Educators. This session is designed specifically for individuals who already have some coaching experience. This is a not a 'learn to coach program', rather it is a 'learn to debrief and coach the LPI®' program.

pre-requisites

Ideally, participants should already have an understanding of The Five Practices of Exemplary Leadership®, and some familiarity with the LPI360 Report format. However, this can be achieved by reading the 6th edition of The Leadership Challenge® or completing a small eLearning intervention if not already done so.

pre-work

In preparation for the workshop, participants will be expected to:

  • Complete their own LPI360 assessment (if their last one was performed more than six months prior)
  • Familiarize and refresh themselves with the 5 Practices of Exemplary Leadership® Model.
  • Attend a webinar one week before the workshop itself

pricing of workshop

Price is on application. It will differ for each person depending on previous levels of involvement. This could range from purchasing the full range of materials along with the facilitation fee, or should the Facilitator Training have been completed, you will need only to top those materials up along with the daily fee.
